Project Details

Landfills releases products that contain methane and carbon dioxide. Methane is a very powerful greenhouse gas. One pound of methane traps 25 times more heat in the atmosphere than a pound of carbon dioxide. Considering that both gasses can be captured and used to produce energy WHB intervened with a technology that is able to do as such.

Using the by-product of anaerobic microbes during waste decay, not only does it produce energy for the mass, at the same time reduces the amount of methane and carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere.Through years of involvement, WHB has completely built up its capacity and aptitude in Landfill Gas Management (LGM).

In enormous sterile landfills, we have been tackling the high centralization of Methane for power age through its LFG powerplants situated at Worldwide Park at Air Hitam, Puchong and Jeram Sanitary Landfill, Kuala Selangor. To screen the gas focus created and gathered, gas wells have been developed and
introduced.
